Asa Bantan

The self-styled Bouyon Boss and one of the genre’s biggest names. Back in 2012 “One Man” was the most played song in Dominica and spreading to Martinique and St. Lucia, and “Wet Fete” helped tie bouyon to soca across the region. Asa Bantan is on the World Creole Music Festival 2026 bill for Saturday night, October 24, at Windsor Park, and is among the Dominican nominees in the bouyon categories at the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards.
